    Remember to do these exercises at your own pace and comfort level. Feel free to revisit these materials as often as you want over the next few months, even years.

    Only choose the exercises that resonate with you and that you feel will be helpful.

    Focus on body, mind, and emotional healing work to integrate different types of growth/shifts/change into your lived experience.

what to expect from…

  • From the cultures we come from, we tend to want to “heal” primarily through intellectual processes. Taking time to learn new things, and changing how we think. There is nothing inherently wrong with this. However… we know that it is not only in the brain where we need to necessitate change. It is often in the lived experiences of emotion and body-motion that healing truly percolates and transforms.

    This is why each month you will receive three different healing exercise options. One will be targeted to your brain, one towards your body, and one one towards your “heart.” The good news about journaling… is that it access all three types of processes. 

    • Physiological

    • Psychological

    • Emotional

    • Journaling counts as all three ;)

    When you “journal,” remember there is no “right or wrong.” This is not the type of journaling that is meant for your descendants to read some day. It does not need to be grammatically correct. It doesn’t need to be written in complete sentences. It can be a brainstorming exercise. It can be done through an artistic or poetic format.

    The sky and your creativity are the limit here…

  • Using mantras or affirmations have been proven to be an evidence-based mental health tool for improved wellness (physically, mentally and spiritually).

    What you specifically recite when selecting a mantra is less important than the repeated focused attention. Through powerful, memorable, and concise mantras, we can train ourselves to consistently tap into our joy, strength, and fortitude. This is resiliency practice in the making.

    Feel free come up with ones that resonate more deeply for you.

  • Our book club meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month, with time dedicated to discussing that month’s book selection. Book choices focus on themes of deconstruction and healing, including faith transitions, sexuality, mental health, anti-racism, anti-sexism, and overall wellness and balance.

    Audio recordings of each week’s group sessions will be available for participants to access at their convenience.
